Esther Whittock


Esther Whittock read Theology and Religious Studies at Jesus College, University of Cambridge, where she graduated with a First. She specialised in Christianity and biblical studies, focusing in her third year on Christology in the New Testament, the theology and composition of the Gospel of John, and the way that Christ and the Bible is understood in Indian and African cultures. She also has an MA in Educational Leadership.

She is currently a secondary school teacher of Religious Studies at Heart of England School in the West Midlands; and previously she taught in an inner city secondary school in Birmingham.

She is the co-author of Christ: The First Two Thousand Years, with her father Martyn Whittock.
