Lion Hudson debut novel shortlisted for CWA Endeavour Historical Dagger 2016
Lion Hudson is delighted to announce that The Jazz Files, the debut novel by Fiona Veitch Smith (published 2015), has been shortlisted for this year’s Crime Writers’ Association Endeavour Historical Dagger Award. The Jazz Files is among only six books on the shortlist, which also includes authors Michelle Kirkby, Philip Kerr, William Shaw, A.J. Wright and David Young. The winner of the award will be announced at the CWA Dagger Awards Gala Dinner in London on 11 October.
Commenting on how thrilled she was to be shortlisted, Fiona said:
‘You could have knocked me down with a feather when I heard I had been shortlisted for such a prestigious award, particularly when you look at who else is in the running for it. Poppy and I are absolutely delighted and shall be toasting one another with pink champagne. Thank you to the amazing team at Lion Fiction without whom The Jazz Files would still just be an idea in my over-cluttered mind.’
