Marion Stroud

Marion StroudMARION STROUD was born in Chelmsford, Essex and spent part of her childhood living in Malaysia where her father was in the Colonial Service. Marion trained as a physiotherapist at the Royal London Hospital, Whitechapel where she met her husband, a dentist. Marion started writing when she left physiotherapy to have her first child, and went on to win 2nd prize for a children's novel in 1968. Marion now has 5 grown-up children, including 2 foster children, and 12 grandchildren, and has continued writing during her 30 years of bringing up a family, using her extensive experience of being a wife and mother.

Marion is now a magistrate and contributes to the magazine Woman Alive. She is a founder member and past Chair of the Association of Christian Writers and has been a cross-cultural trainer for the Media Associates International based in Chicago where she worked with writers and editors in the Third World and Eastern Europe. In her spare time, Marion enjoys walking, theatre and entertaining family and friends.
