Helen Jaeger

HELEN JAEGER is an experienced writer and journalist. With a first class degree in English, Helen has written for a variety of magazines and organisations in fields such as journalism, copywriting, fundraising and web design. Helen has also put her talent to work in writing several books. Her first book, Simple, was published by Scripture Union in 2003. Since then, Helen has written two books published by Lion: A Treasury of Wisdom (2004) and As Night Falls (2005). Besides writing, Helen enjoys photography, walking and pottery.

As Night Falls was inspired by a time of illness Helen suffered after returning from a work trip to India. Helen had to learn how to switch off from her busy life and be still. As a consequence, Helen learnt the importance of stillness, grace, true vocation, focus and transformation. As Night Falls deals with each of these issues and teaches the reader how to slow down, find a place of rest and discover a more meaningful way of living. The book comprises original poetry and comment from Helen, Bible verses and suggestions for imaginative meditation.

Helen hopes that her book will be an inspiration and a comfort to those looking for help to slow down from the often hectic pace of life.
